Children gathered around the struggling puppy, whose little hind legs flopped behind him after he was hit by a car. It was heartbreaking to see. Our rescue team scooped him up and found, to our relief, that he seemed to have no spinal injury, no open wounds, and no fractures.
But still, he couldn’t bear weight on his hind legs. We followed our bed-rest protocol, though he was completely unwilling to obey the “rules,” and kept on playing.
It has been wonderful to see him gaining strength day by day, and because he is young, even though his legs are not as strong as they were before the accident, he’s sure to keep improving.
