Rescued donkey whose legs were wired together, takes 6 months to heal.

Edward, a handsome and bright donkey, is happy now, but his story is devastating for the unfathomable ignorance that hurt him so deeply. Someone–maybe a child–used wire to tie his legs together to keep him from wandering away. This injury sickens us more than “the usual” donkey abuse because it goes beyond the limit of simple ignorance and its effect is pure cruelty. If you can get through the footage of his initial wound dressings to the end you’ll be glad you did–he’s not even limping now! All animals in labor are slaves. There is just no other word for it than slavery, and it’s wrong.

A wᴏman cᴏmmented:”I never knew how great donkey’s were until I moved to the southwest US. They are fantastic animals that help protect some animals from snakes and also are great companion animals to keep other animals from being lonely. They don’t cost as much to feed and maintain and they don’t require as much space. They are friendly and most have fun personalities. Great rescue.”

Anᴏther replied:”There are no words to describe how angelic you guys are 🙂 this video brought tears to my eyes. I can’t understand how anyone could abuse animals like this, we live in a really cruel world. Thank you for saving him & giving him so much love! <3″

Thank you all for the work you do in saving animals who need help and thank you for sharing, may God bless each of you in all the work you do.”
