With blood oozing from a massive head wound, this dog lay trembling under a car, and it looked like he was waiting to die there. Once back at our hospital we found the wound filled with hundreds of maggots who had destroyed most of his ear, which had become necrotic. We immediately treated him for pain, applied medicine to kill the maggots and the next morning, sedated him in order to remove the dead maggots and tissue, and start this beautiful boy on his road to an amazing recovery. These people do an amazing job with basically a table and a few blankets on the floor for these poor animals they rescue they don’t have kennels or a operating room and they still manage to bring animals close to death back to healthy happy animals! We all who love animals need to pitch in a little better to help these people out with better equipment, food, medications they desperately need. I for one don’t mind giving up my morning starbuck run witch i spend at least $5 to $10 a day on, i will be donating that to help for the next few weeks, if every one pitched in that $5 to $10 these people can help so many more helpless animals. God bless the work they do for they do it with very little.”
