We got a call to rescue a young donkey who had a gaping wound on her forehead so deep that the bone was exposed. Although she was still strong when we found her, within just another day or two the maggots infesting the wound would have killed her. We brought her and her mother back to Animal Aid to begin her life-saving treatment.
